Teen Spanish Program Ages 12-17

Teens are welcome at Instituto Chac-Mool Spanish School in Cuernavaca, Mexico year round, however in addition to adult and children's programs a SPECIAL Spanish immersion course for TEENS is now scheduled for June 14 to August 13, 2010.

Taught by enthusiastic, qualified, young teachers, this full immersion program is fast paced, interactive and fun. The goal is to have teens not only comfortable speaking Spanish, but also learn about the culture of Mexico. The program includes dynamic activities, each one with a clear educational objective. Since the emphasis is on learning Spanish, teachers ensure that Spanish is always spoken during class time and during all teen activities.

The 2010 weekly tuition rate is US$235 plus a US$100 life-time registration fee.

For teens especially, the first week can be a big adjustment for many, but by week two they are participating more and fully enjoying the activities offered in the program. For this reason, Instituto Chac-Mool encourages teens to enroll for 2 weeks or more so they can get the most out of their stay. Older teens may also select to study in Instituto Chac-Mool's year round adult program and there is a children's program for younger kids.

Please note: Instituto Chac-Mool recommends that a parent or guardian travel with their teens. Solo travelers will be required to sign a Minor Agreement, a parent’s signature is also required. This agreement spells out that attendance is mandatory and that students who use alcoholic beverages and/or illegal substances will be expelled from the program. Instituto Chac-Mool has excellent host families that welcome teen students.
